Heflin - James Luther"John" Holloway, 89, died Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at NHC Healthcare.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, November 29, 2019, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest #2 Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Wife - Bobbie Holloway, Heflin, AL
Daughter - Lucretia Lambert, Heflin, AL
Daughter - Cindy(Mark) McNeal, Fayetteville, TN
Daughter - Angie Canada, Oxford, AL
Son - Anthony Bowen, Heflin, AL
Grandchildren - 9
Great Grandchildren - 11
Mr. Holloway was a native of TN and a resident of Cleburne County for over 50 years. James was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Union Foundry after 43 years of service. He was a high school football star who played on Lou Scales first team. James was an avid Alabama football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace Holloway and Zuma Canada and sister, Carolyn Morton.
