Lila Mae & Clois used to drive from Heflin to Tuskegee to visit my grandmother, Pauline Starr Daughtry. Uncle Talmadge Starr is my grandmother's brother. Mama (as I called my grandmother) was always so happy to see Lila & Clois. My grandmother is also the reason why I care so much about family, even the part of the family that I rarely saw. We also used to visit Aunt Francis in Coldwater and Lila & Joyce would meet us at Aunt Francis's house. 

I always felt like Lila cared very much about family also. Who else would hop in the car & drive 2-3 hours to see her Aunt Pauline in Tuskegee? We always loved it when they came. I think Aunt Joyce came also. 

So sorry about her passing but I know that she is now at rest, and without pain, safe in the arms of Jesus.
