Mr. Merrill was someone I knew from a young age. He usually came to the 4th Sunday in May Memorial Service at Smyrna Baptist Church in Newell, AL. He seem to always know who I was and he spoke to even me a small child, not just the adults. In fact he knew the people at the church by name. He was such a friendly person and so nice. I know the family will miss him greatly. We had several deaths in our community, one a member of my church at the same time, and I'm sorry that I did not make it to the visitation or the funeral. So sorry for your loss.
