Obituary for William Dixon "Bill" Thrash

Heflin - William Dixon "Bill" Thrash, 70, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Burson officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Daughter - Hillary (Russell) Harris
Sister - Jayne Ann Taylor
Brother - Bob Thrash
Grandchildren - Walker Harris & Anna Cate Harris
Fur baby - Pixie
Pallbearers will be: Kirk Anderson, Dakota Smith, Darrell Durham, Russell Harris, Walker Harris, Jose Martinez, and Jason Stevens.
Bill was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County and graduated from Cleburne County High School in 1971. He served in the National Guard for 20 years and was deployed during Dessert Shield. Bill was the youngest Tax Assessor in Cleburne County and was a founding member of the Episcopal Church of The Messiah. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening and retired from Kimberly Clark and the Anniston Army Depot. Bill was a loving husband and father and was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Bascum and Edith Thrash.
