Heflin - Wilbur Gay Ligon, 87, died Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Regional Medical Center in Anniston Alabama.
A private funeral service will be held with the Rev. Rodger Brothers officiating. Burial will follow in Forestlawn Gardens. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Wife - Mary Ligon, Heflin, AL
Daughter - Vickie (Bruce) Gravitt
Son - Brian Ligon
Son - Terry (Glenda) Ligon
Brother - David Ligon
Grand Child - Allen Cavender
Grand Child - Andy Cavender
Grand Child - Jason Ligon
Grand Child - Kristi Ligon
Grand Child - Jennifer Bentley
Grand Child - Andy McCormick
Grand Child - Josh McCormick
Grand Child - Morgan Greier
9- Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Jason Ligon, Allen Cavender, Andy Cavender, Stuart Bentley, Roland Cavender, and Drew Cavender.
Keith Ligon will be an Honorary pallbearer.
Mr. Ligon was retired from Union Foundry after 42 years of service. His grandchildren were the joy of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Lela Ligon; daughter, Deb Ligon; sisters, Pauline Bonner, Hazel Kellum and Jo Finley; brothers, James Ligon, Jack Ligon, and Johnny Ligon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saks Baptist Church.
