Paul Henry Gay, 79, died February 7, 2021, at Cleburne County Nursing Home following complications from Covid-19. Radio or Dobber, as Paul was affectionately known, was a longtime resident of Heflin. He started working at age fourteen at J. W. Bennett Lumber Company. As an adult, he worked over thirty-five years for the City of Heflin in the Street and Water/Sewer Departments. Paul was actively involved in scouting for over thirty-five years where he served as an assistant scout master for many years. A humble, selfless man, Paul touched the lives of those who knew and worked with him, especially Boy Scouts in Heflin Troop 206. Pallbearers will be: Massey Griffin, Elis Bennett, Jonathan Fordam, Will Payne, and Jay Grubbs.
