Obituary for Patsy Clark Munroe

Heflin - Patsy Clark Munroe, 79, daughter of the late James Elbert and Myrtle Brand Clark, Sr., died Tuesday February 8, 2022 at Amellia Garden's Personal Care, in Marietta, Georgia.
Born November 9, 1942, in rural Heflin, where she spent most of her life, only moving to Amelia Gardens, because of Alzheimer's disease. Pat graduated from Ranburne High School in 1959, at the age of 16. She worked many years at Cleburne County Nursing Home doing data entry, and later did dictation for doctors at RMC in Anniston. In her later years, Pat, worked as a home health provider, giving care to the home bound. After a divorce in 1977, she raised her three sons, on her own, with love and determination. She joined a gospel group in the mid 80's, called The Pilgrims Quartet, where she enjoyed singing praises to the Lord. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, and there she will be laid to rest, next to her beloved son, Tony. Pat loved her family and Jesus Christ whole heartedly, she rejoiced at the birth of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved each one.
Besides her parents she is proceeded in death by her son Anthony (Tony) Clark, sisters: infant Marie Clark, Joyce Clark Hazelrigs, Dorthy Clark Lanier, and a brother Jerry Raymond Clark.
She's leaves behind her sons and their wives: Timothy and Marcia Munroe, and James and Angie Munroe.
Sisters: Barbara (Sammy Joe) Clark Cooley, Sandra Clark Cheatwood.
Brother: James (Linda) Clark Jr.
8 Grandchildern: Amanda Clark, JeriLynn Clark, Samantha Clark, Josh Munroe, Clark Munroe, Sophie Munroe, Michelle Munroe Prichard and Paige Munroe Hollis, 7 Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and friends.
Services will be Saturday February 12, 2022 at Dryden Funeral Home, in Heflin, with visitation at 10:00 am and the funeral will be at 11:00 am. With Rev. Gary Robinson and Rev. Mac Prichard officiating. Internment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist cemetery, Dryden Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
