Heflin - Michael Wayne Jeffers, 69, died Friday, August 23, 2019 at His Residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Jackson, Bro. Kevin Turley, and Bro. Randy Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Hurricane Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Michael Wayne Jeffers was a lifelong resident of Cleburne County, Alabama. He lived and raised his family where he grew up as a boy, in the Arbacoochee community. Mr. Jeffers worked hard all his life to provide for his family. He worked in logging and retired from Jerry Noles Logging. Michael Wayne (Mikey Wayne as some people referred to him) was a dedicated family man and always put his family first before his own needs. He was a fierce protector and dedicated to his parents, wife, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchild. He was a loyal and steadfast friend. He always had a joke ready and loved to make people laugh. He had a huge heart and was generous to those in need. He had a huge personality, he filled the room with his laughter and voice. All that knew him loved and respected him.
Michael Wayne was a deacon and member of Vise Grove Baptist Church. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Nathan and Estelle Jeffers, his wife, Eugenia Turley Jeffers and a granddaughter, Jenna Allen. He is survived by his daughters, Christy (Jeff) Luallen, Michelle (Zack) Allen. His grandchildren, Andrew (Kayla) Gibson, Vickie (Dakota) Turner, Hunter and Colton Allen, and a great granddaughter, Emma Gibson. Mr. Jeffers will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Pallbearers will be: Patrick Nolen, Stacey Beason, Johnny Beason Jamie Spears, Dustin Snyder, and Lee Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Rex Nolen and Jimmy Brakefield.
