Heflin - Mary Lorene Jones passed from this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the age of 82 surrounded by her beloved family. Mary was born on April 1, 1940, to Marvin M, Jones, Sr. and Ora Mary Jones of Anniston, AL and was one of seven children. She met the love of her life, Harold L. Jones, and the two of them were married for 66 beautiful years. They lived and raised their family in Heflin, AL. Mary devoted her life to God, family, and others. Mary was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mary is survived by her husband Harold Jones; children: Debbie (Mack) Bass, Lamar (Sharon) Jones, Mylinda (Merlyn) Brown; grandchildren: Heath Jones, Laci (Chris) Buga, Katelyn (Matthew) Moore, Claire Brown; great-grandchildren: Alex Buga, Grayson Moore, Emma Kate Moore, Ellisyn Moore; sisters: Kay Jones Freeman, Marie Jones Ponder; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin Jones, Sr. and Ora Mary Jones;sister Lynda Austin; brothers Marvin M. Jones, Jr., Robert (Rabbit) Jones, and James (Jimmy) Jones.
Visitation and funeral service will be Friday, August 19, 2022, at the Episcopal Church of the Messiah, 836 Lakeview Drive, Heflin, AL 36264. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by the service at 3:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Mark Traylor, Scott Austin, Curtis Freeman, Trent Jones, Wayne Jones, Kenny Gossage, Charles Shealy, Tim Gossage, and Chris Shealy.
