Mrs. Mary Collins Ayers, 94, passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at the Union County Nursing Home, Blairsville, GA. She was born on July 10, 1926 in Anniston, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Willie Collins, brothers, Doyle Collins, Jr., Joe Collins, John D. Collins, sister, Ann Collins, husband, Carl W. Ayers, Sr., son, Carl W. Ayers, Jr. and daughter, Debra Ayers Boyle.
Mary worked for over 20 years as Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Concrete Products, Tampa, FL. She loved and served the Lord and her family. Mary also enjoyed bowling, painting, and writing stories of her childhood memories. For many years she sent cards that she had made from her paintings to several nursing homes and VA hospitals. Mary had many talents and enjoyed sharing these with family and friends.
Surviving Mary are brothers, Bill (Era) Collins and Paul (Ferlie) Collins, sister, Sue (John) Floyd, son, Robert (Libby) Ayers, daughter, Ruth Ayers, granddaughters, Michele Welch, Julie Lewis, Melissa Faneuff, Lori Stigers, Karen Joyner, Shauna Butrym, grandson, Brendan Boyle, 7 great granddaughters, and 1 great great granddaughter.
Funeral will be at Dryden Funeral Home, Heflin, AL at 12:00 p.m. visitation and 1:00 funeral. Interment in Hepsabah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family requests that masks be worn at all times.
