Heflin - Margaret Ann Turner, 87, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother passed away at Cleburne County Nursing Home on February 10th, 2021.
She was born February 24th, 1933, in DeArmanville, Alabama, Calhoun County, to the late Henry and Mamie Brooks . She attended grade school in DeArmanville and high school at Oxford High.
On August 18, 1950, she was united in marriage to the late Freddie Gene Turner of Heflin, Alabama. . She was a member of Liberty Hill Church.
She and her husband, Fred, ran the "Saturday Night Opry" in Heflin.
Ann is survived by; her son, Fred Eugene Turner; her daughters and husbands, Lynda and Jerry Ramsey and Judy and Byron Clarke, and Vonda and Jack Armstrong; grandchildren, Tajuana and Colin Gossage, Cathy and Danny Taylor, Michael and Morgan Easley, Clarissa Turner Boozer, Josh Ramsey, Jeremy and DeAnn Ramsey, Jonathan Ramsey, Justin Turner, Nicole Turner, Ashley and Josh Franks, Katie Turner and Brad Easley; great-grandchildren, Mollie Owens Corley, Brooklyn And Scott Belton , Chloe and Hunter Collum, Bella Taylor, Nathan Taylor, Kayla Ramsey, Charlie Ramsey, Jayden Ramsey, Kylie and Ryder Lovell, Jackson Griffin, Chloe Turner, Payton Smith, and Priscilla Rose, Joshua Eli Franks, and Whitleigh Jo Easley, great -great grandchildren Dallas Taylor , and Elam Belton. She was preceded in death by grandson, Timothy Byron Clarke.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many special friends.
The funeral will be held at Liberty Hill Church on Saturday , February 13, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
Pastor Gary Cox, and Josh Franks will officiate. Graveside services will be in Liberty Hill Church Cemetery immediately following. Relatives and friends are welcome at the Dryden Funeral Home, 1467 Almon Street, Friday night, February 12, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, February 13, 2021, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. We would like to thank all of the staff at Cleburne County Nursing Home and Ms. Louise Sanders for all their help and support in caring for our loving Mother for many years. She will greatly be missed, but is now in her heavenly home with our Dad.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wendall Buchannan, Tracy Chandler, Billy Holley, Ted Campbell, Roger Hill, Stanley Ford, David Easley, Kenny Yates, Roger McManus, Tim Estes, Pete Morrison, Joe Newborn, Barry Rollins, and Terry Rollins.
