Heflin - Mallory Davis Whiten, 87, of Heflin, Alabama went to his eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Whiten was born on September 9, 1933 to Coleman Davis and Mamie Barr Whiten in Cleburne County, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy Williams Whiten; son Charles Mallory (Allison) Whiten; two granddaughters, Mallory Cathryn (Trey) Edwards and Callie McQueen (Dillon) Bonds; sisters Peggi (Wood) Deleuil and Mary (Ronald) Weldon; and brother, Robert (Juanita) Whiten.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Alan Whiten; brothers, Willis, Marvin, Clellan, and Wallace Whiten; sisters, Lou Anna Houck, Margaret Jones, and Betty Elkins.
Following graduation from Cleburne County High School in 1952, Mallory served in the U.S. Army including Korea. He was employed at Moore Business Forms for over 30 years and retired from Douglas &Lomason Company.
Mallory was a member of Heflin Baptist Church and served the Lord in many capacities including being a Deacon for over 50 years.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Heflin Baptist Church. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 12:00 noon in the church sanctuary. Burial will be at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
