Heflin - Karen Sue Whitley, 37, died Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robbie Smith and Rev. Doug Shepherd officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Green, A.J. Benefield, Danny Turner, Scott Bonner, Josh Nail and Daniel Price.
There is something about Karen's beautiful soul. She showed her generosity by giving to others and not expecting anything in return. Karen loved her family the most, especially her "Daddy" she was a daddy's girl and followed him everywhere. She was crazy about her nephew, Shawn and niece, Dakota. Karen was the number one supporter of the Heflin Police Department. Anytime she spotted a police car her face would light up with joy. Beside chasing the police down her other favorite hobby was taking photos, especially of her family. Karen worked at the nursing home for 10 years in the Laundry Dept. We are going to miss you Baby Girl.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Taylor Whitley.
