Heflin - Jimmy Guy Cavender, 83, died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Hepsabah Baptist Church with Dr. Roland Brown and Rev. Jeff Layton, officiating. Burial will follow in Hepsabah Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 18, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church.. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Wife - Doris Cavender
Daughter - Tina Cavender Cartwright
Daughter - Jill Cavender Harper
Grand Children - Amber Watson,Taryn Ertzberger, Abby Harper and Austin Harper
5 Great Grandchildren
Pallbearers will be:, Gary Harper, Austin Harper, Gary Cartwright, Floyd Smith, Fred Smith
Jeffery Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Whitmore, Rob Watson, and Matt Ertzberger.
Mr. Cavender was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He was a member and Deacon of Hepsabah Baptist Church. Jimmy was a hard worker and a loving husband to his wife of 64 years, He was a loving Daddy and granddaddy who will be missed by all. Mr. Cavender was an avid Alabama fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Vera Cavender and one brother, Harold Cavender.
