Heflin - Horace J White, 85, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at Cleburne County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Heflin Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Morris and Rev. Brent Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. at Heflin Baptist Church. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Son - Derrick(Debbie) White
Grandchildren - Joshua White, Hunter White & Cindy White Collins
Great Grandchildren - Lily Kayte White, Jack White & Asher White
Pallbearers will be: Joshua White, Hunter White, Greg White, Jeff White, Larry White and C D East. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Heflin Baptist Church.
Horace was a lifelong resident of Cleburne County and served in the National Guard. He was one of the longest tenured County Presidents of the Alabama Cattleman's Association. He loved quail hunting, fishing and cattle farmer. Horace served as chairman of the Cleburne County Hospital Board, retired owner of Piggly Wiggly and served as a deacon at Heflin Baptist Church. Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Arlin and Pauline White, wives, Sherry White and Charlotte White, and 6 siblings.
