Muscadine - Dewayne Barrett, 63, died Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Tanner Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Williams, Rev. James Roper, and Rev. Todd Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Living Word Family Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 2, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Daughter - Kristy(Rodney) Willis
Daughter - Tracy(Mike) Hooks
Daughter - Amy(Shane) Swofford
Daughter - Holly(Rob) Jones
Son - Ryan(Maria) Driver
Son - Ashley(LaKisha) Bryant
Grandchildren - 12
Brother - Garry Joe(Debbie) Barrett
Father-in-law & Mother-in-law - Royce & Brenda Kilgore
Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law - Lane & Shana Kilgore
Pallbearers will be: Perry Kilgore, Lonny Williams, Craig Walker, Dean Maddox, Randall Rollins, and Eddie Harrington.
Dewayne was a loving and devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His family was his life.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Billy and Grace Barrett and sister, Mandy.
He enjoyed his horses and other farm animals and sharing them with the kids. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and piddling around in the shop with the guys.
His laugh was contagious and his smile endearing. He enjoyed his job as motorgrader operator with Carroll County Public Works where he has been employed for 20 years and loved his co-workers.
Many knew him as Santa which he enjoyed tremendously. He loved seeing the magic in the children's eyes.
