Obituary for Deborah Dunn Yakely

Heflin - Deborah Dunn Yakely, 69, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Roland Brown and Dr. Larry Riddle, officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Brother - Danny Dunn
Sister - Donna(Larry) Riddle
Sister-in-law - Mary Lynn Yakely
Grandchild - Caleb Yakely
Grandchild - Natalie Yakely
Grandchild - Sawyer Yakely
Grandchild - Luke Allen
Grandchild - Marren Allen
Several Nieces and Nephews
Pallbearers will be: Marc Riddle, Chris Dunn, Aron Dunn, Blake Young, Brock Young, and Carson Riddle.
Debbie was a native of Cleburne County and a resident for most of her life. She was a member of Golden Springs Baptist Church and an active member of her Sunday School Class and Bible Studies. She taught school at Cleburne County Elementary for over 30 years and also taught Adult Education at Gadsden State. Debbie was very patriotic, growing up in a military home and very proud of her son, Matthew and grandson, Caleb for their active military service. Debbie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and crafting. Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, John Yakely, daughter, Christen Yakely, and parents, Grover and Edna Dunn.
