Obituary

McCormick
Heflin - Curtis Leon McCormick, 85, died Monday, March 16, 2020 at Cleburne County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Shultz officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Wife - Sara R. McCormick, Heflin, AL
Son - Brian(Jan T.) McCormick, Saks, AL
Son - Keith(Gabrielle) McCormick, Mt. Olive, AL
Sister - Eunice Thompson, Muscadine, AL
Grandchildren - Daniel McCormick, Maxim McCormick, Brittney Hyde, Sarah Kathleen Edwards, & Rebecca Abigail Rogers
Great Grandchildren - Connor Aeillo & Charlie Rogers
Pallbearers will be: Anthony Thompson, Michael Thompson, Gary Thompson, Dennis Wiesner, Dorsey Crosson and Ryan Robertson.
Mr. McCormick was a life long resident of Cleburne County and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army. Leon was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. Leon was employed a short time by General Electric and then worked for Monsanto for 33 years before retiring. Leon is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mattie McCormick and brother, E.E. McCormick.
