Obituary for Christine McCord Riddle

Heflin - Christine McCord Riddle, 91, died Saturday, January 25, 2020 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2020, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brent Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Daughter - Debbie Riddle Skinner
Son - Larry (Donna) Riddle
Grand Children - Marc Riddle, Michelle Riddle Ward, Meagan Riddle Willingham, Deann Riddle Hightower, Hendoly Riddle Michaels and
Zack Riddle
Great Grandchildren - Emilee,Jordan, Blake and Brock Young ,Elizabeth and Carson Riddle, Emma Grace Willingham,Kolby Hightower Bannon, Kayd Hightower, Noah Lindsey, Tucker and Brylee Michaels and a host of Nieces and Nephews.
Pallbearers will be, Marc Riddle, Carson Riddle, Blake Young, Brock Young, Noah Lindsey, Kayd Hightower, Brian Michaels, and Tucker Michaels.
Mrs Christine was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. She married Ewell Milton Riddle following World War II at the age of seventeen. She was a lifelong member of New Harmony Baptist Church. Mrs. Riddle retired from the Heflin Post Office after 31 years of employment and spent many years as a Pink Lady at Regional Medical Center. Christine loved shopping and was a great cook who made the best pound cake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell Milton Riddle; parents, Mitch and Anna McCord; sons, Jerry and Michael Riddle; great granddaughter, Haley Capps; son-in-law, Thomas Skinner, daughter-in-law, Ann Riddle.
