Heflin - Betty Ann Smith McAlpin, 85, died Friday, May 8, 2020 at Her Residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Garner, Rev. Randall Skinner, and Rev. Joe Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Heflin Memorial Garden. Visitation will be Monday, May 11, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Son - Mark(RenĂ¡) McAlpin
Son - Mike(Teresa Cook) McAlpin
Granddaughters - Maranda McAlpin & Mahala McAlpin
Grandsons - Shane McAlpin, Cody McAlpin, & Trevor Cook
Great Grandchildren - 5
Pallbearers will be: Shane McAlpin, Cody McAlpin, Ben Elliot, Joey Wilson, Trevor Cook, and Mavrick McAlpin.
Betty was a native of Georgia and a resident of Cleburne County for the past 53 years. Betty worked in the textile industry at various plants and manufacturing companies for 62 years. She started out as a sewing machine operator and was supervisor when she retired. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. You never heard Betty complain about anything. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Garlin McAlpin, sisters, Mildred Burgess, Teat Sullivan, Myrtle Skinner, brothers, Slim and Herb Smith, and grandson, Tyler Pollard.
