Heflin - Arlin Gene McElroy, 72, died Sunday, August 9, 2020 at Regional Medical Center.
Private graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, at Verdons Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Randall Moore and Rev. Charles Benefield, officiating. Burial will follow in Verdons Chapel Cemetery. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Son - Tracy(Sholar) McElroy
Grandson - Caleb Lane(JoAnn) McElroy
Grandson - Landon Taylor McElroy
Granddaughter - Katie McElroy
Great-Grandchild - Caleb(Wilkie) McElroy
Sister - Sue(John) Dewberry

Due to Covid-19 this will be a private family service and a memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Gene served in the Vietnam War and retired from Anniston Army Depot after 30 plus years of service. Gene has been preaching the Word of God for 33 years and during that time he had a nursing home ministry. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Arlin Garfield and Helen McCulley McElroy and sister, Janis Faye McElroy.
