Myrtle Lee Parris Allen passed away peacefully on November 19, 2017, at the age of 81. She was born on February 25, 1936 to Ulysses and Jessie Lee Parris.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Parris.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Simeon Allen. Her daughters, Dawn (Brian) Crawford of Montgomery, Donna (Sean) Thompson of Yulee, Florida, her granddaughters, Tori and Brie Thompson, her sister, Brenda Sue Parris of Decatur, her brother Robert Parris of Heflin, and Margaret (Marvin) Mayo and numerous nieces and nephews.

Myrtle married Simeon on June 12, 1954. They spent 63 wonderful years together. Myrtle and Simeon raised two daughters who love and admire them more than words can say. They are filled with pride for their beautiful granddaughters. Myrtle was most happy when surrounded by the love and laughter of her family.
