Arlin D. Haney, 82, of Ranburne, Alabama passed away on September 10th, 2017 from pulmonary and other health complications at Noland Health Services at the Northeast Alabama
Regional Medical Center campus in Anniston, Alabama. Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mac Prichard and Rev. Kenneth Gibbs officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Dryden Funeral Home. Interment will be at Crumleys Chapel cemetery following the service.

Mr. Haney was born on April 1st, 1935 to Leonard and Alma Thompson of Heard County, Georgia. Mr. Haney was raised until adulthood by Marshall and Lela Haney of Cleburne County, Alabama and eventually took the last name Haney.

Mr. Haney is preceded in death by; his sisters: Coley Daniel, Offie Jewel Thompson, Rosie Beatrice Haney; his brothers: Artis Kenley Haney, Harvey Haney, Hoyt Haney, Arbie Haney, Homer Thompson and Robert Thompson; his nephews: Clarence Thompson, Anthony Haney, Roger Haney, Jean Haney and Roy Haney.

Mr. Haney leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 42 years Brenda G. Haney, a son, Tony D. Haney of McDonough, Georgia, a daughter, Linda Gail Hackworth, her husband Andrew and
their son Perry all of Warner Robins, Georgia, a brother, Earl Thompson of Euphesus, Georgia, a sister Wilma Hart of Lagrange, Georgia, nieces: Reba Barker, Lillian Chupp, Louise Punkosdy, Angie Tenney, Debbie Gray and Marie Dugger. nephews: Rodney Thompson, Eddie Thompson,
Jimmy Thompson, Cecil Thompson, Frank Thompson, Billy Ray Thompson, Marshall Haney, Laney Haney, Coy Haney, Michael Haney and many great-nieces and great-nephews, family and
close family friends that include Elaine Thompson, Janie Smith, Mallarie Crews and Howard Pope, Jr.

Mr. Haney was a member of the Liberty Rock Holliness Church in Heflin, Alabama where he worshiped every Sunday morning. In addition to the love of his family, friends and his faith, Mr. Haney enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and small engines, visiting auctions and yard sales, animals, gardening, having a good laugh and talking to anyone about anything. A new love for Mr. Haney is that of visiting with his 5 month old grandson Perry who always brought a smile and joy to his heart. Mr. Haney was a kind and gentle soul and will be remembered for his quiet and caring personality.
