Oxford - Franklin D. Turner, 83, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at His Residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Old Davistown Church of God with the Rev. Bobby Brooks and Sonny Spears, officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include:
Daughter - Pat Austin
Daughter - Angie Reynolds
Daughter - Lori Jarrell (Daniel) Beason
Son - Dana (Tina) Turner
Sister - Lona Price
Sister - Bertha Harrison
Grandchildren - 7
Great Grandchildren - 13
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Reynolds, Andy Cavender, Levi Turner, James Cason, Richard Reynolds, and Derrick Jarrell.
Mr. Turner was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He served in U.S. Air Force for ten years. Franklin was a Baptist preacher for 25 years and an avid Alabama Fan. Franklin was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Ruth Turner, parents, Dave and Nellie Turner, two sisters, Joyce Turner and Faye Markovitze, three brothers, Melvin, Jeff and Earl Turner and one grandson, Christopher Austin.
