Heflin - James Arthur Alexander, 80, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 16, 2016 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Spouse - Mary Ann Alexander, Heflin, AL
Son - Joseph (Michelle) Wheeles, Heflin, AL
Son - Jim (Michelle) Alexander, Raleigh, NC
Daughter - Beverly (Greg) Champion, Pell City, AL
Grandchildren - Michael, Christian, and Conner Alexander, Matthew and April Sue Wheeles, Rebecca Yancy, Jacob Durham, and Dillon Champion
Great Grandchildren - Walker, Will and Lori Ann Durham and Will Yancy
Pallbearers will be: Jacob Durham, Matthew Wheeles, Kyle Yancy, Dillon Champion, Barry Latham, and Archie Garrison.
Mr. Alexander was a Retired MSGT from the U.S. Air Force and retired registered nurse. He was a Baptist by faith and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. James was preceded in death his parents, Joe and Ethel Alexander, sisters, Sue Lowery and Barbara Latham, and brother Joe Alexander.
