Delta - James Baxter Barnwell, 86, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Chulafinnee Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jackie Taylor, officiating. Burial will follow in Chulafinnee Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 13, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include: Wife - Myrtle A. Barnwell, Delta, AL, Son - Byron Barnwell, Delta, AL, Daughter - Jennifer Barnwell, Delta, AL,
Sister - Anne Smith, Alabaster, AL, Sister - Myrian Kirby, Jacksonville, FL, Brother - Lehman Barnwell, Delta, AL, Grand Child - Chasity Merrill, Grand Child - Stacy Merrill.
Pallbearers:
Ricky Barnwell, Barry Barnwell, Ronnie Barnwell, Brandon Barnwell,
Robert Smith, Ricky Noell and Gathryn Pritchett.
Mr Barnwell was a native and life long resident of Cleburne County. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a Bronze Star recipient. James was a former employee of Moore Business Forms, an equipment operator for Cleburne County, and a member of Chulafinnee Baptist Church.
